The brief

A car rental, outstation cab and group-tour business that has run on word of mouth around Kolkata since the 1990s — trusted regulars, no online presence to point them to. The job was to give a roughly 30-year reputation a simple front door: something a happy passenger could forward to the next.

What we built

• A warm, illustration-led one-page site: Services, Fleet, Destinations, Kolkata, FAQ, Contact.
• A line-art Kolkata skyline and a yellow-taxi motif that make it feel local, not generic.
• WhatsApp and Call always within reach — booking a ride is one tap, not a form.
• A referral-first trust bar that leans into how the business actually grows.

Styling

A cream ground with taxi-yellow and a red accent — Fraunces serif for headlines, with a red italic that gives it character. Instrument Sans keeps the body plain and readable, Space Mono handles the small labels. Editorial and hand-made rather than fleet-corporate.

Build

A static one-page site on GitHub Pages — custom illustration, no framework, nothing to maintain. Bookings convert straight through WhatsApp and Call deep links, so the page does the introducing and the phone does the rest.

Outcome

Gives a ~30-year word-of-mouth cab business a front door its regulars can share — the same trust, now with a link. Shown here without a live link by request.
